A calmer cat corner, room by room
A simple way to give a cat choice, comfort and a place to scratch without turning the room into a pet aisle.
Start with the route your cat already uses. A corner beside a window, the end of a sofa or the quieter side of a living room is more useful than a perfectly styled but ignored object.
Give the corner three jobs: somewhere to stretch, somewhere to rest and something to observe. These can be close together, but they do not need to become one large tower.
Keep the floor around it clear. When a cat can approach, leave and return without being trapped by furniture, the corner is more likely to become part of everyday life.
